Early Life
During her teenage years, Hazell often played truant from school and would stay out late on school nights, indulging in drinking. As a result of her behaviour, she only took five GCSE examinations and was ejected from several of them. Nevertheless, despite struggling with dyslexia, she managed to perform well in mathematics and English.
Career
At the age of sixteen, Hazell left school and started working as a hairdresser. However, her colleagues saw potential in her and convinced her to give modelling a try. She took their advice and left the hairdressing job to pursue a City & Guilds course in fashion at Lewisham College. Although her time at the college was short-lived, her career took a promising turn when she participated in The Daily Star’s “Search for a Beach Babe” competition at seventeen and emerged as the winner.
Encouraged by a friend, she decided to enter The Sun’s Page 3 Idol competition, despite initial doubts. Eventually, her submitted photos caught the attention of the judges, and she was crowned the winner in December 2004. As part of her prize, she received £10,000 worth of “sexy clothes” and a one-year membership of the Rex cinema and bar. Additionally, sculptor Leigh Heppell crafted three cast sculptures of her bust, with two of them displayed in The Sun’s offices and one at her residence.
The Page 3 Idol victory also secured Hazell a one-year exclusive glamour modelling contract with The Sun, and she is currently represented by Jon Fowler. She has become a regular feature in Zoo magazine and continues to appear in The Sun at least once every two weeks. Furthermore, she graced the covers of The Sun’s 2006 and 2007 Page 3 calendars and released her own wall calendars in 2006 and 2007, with the latter selling an impressive 30,000 copies in its initial days of release.
Notably, Hazell became the face of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe’s Formula One 06 video game for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable, as well as Formula One Championship Edition for PlayStation 3.

When the video was leaked, Hazell felt really sad and upset. She even contacted the police to investigate who leaked the video.
